Our Waves and Clouds classes are based on 'Qigong Shibashi', which means 18 movements. With their roots in Tai Chi, these calming and enjoyable movements are very much simpler to follow than the traditional forms but still offer many of the benefits. The flowing movements are done to relaxing music, are simple to copy and are repeated with the instructor, so you don't have to remember a lot of instructions and sequence. This has the advantage that you won't get left behind if you can't come every week. The movements can help improve balance, flexibility, memory and general well-being through releasing stress and tension.
Suitable for complete beginners - you won't know how nice it is until you try it!
This class runs to a minimum 45min format, with an additional 10 min extension when time permits, to include Tai Chi principles and a short sequence of traditional form.
Just under 60 minutes of gentle exercise. Cost £7, which can also be done seated.
