From Thurs 5th Nov until 2nd Dec, the government has decided to take us into another lockdown, where pubs, restaurants, gyms, non-essential shops and places of worship will close. This means all venue-based classes we have been running will not be able to operate, and are now cancelled.

However please note the following:

* Downton Wed 4th Nov - class will run as usual.

* Downton Wed 9th Dec - if possible class will run as usual.

* Ringwood 17th Nov - rescheduled to the 8th Dec

  (will run if possible)

* St Ives Thurs 3rd Dec - if possible class will run as usual

(possible reschedule to the 10th Dec)

Our aim is to restart live venue classes in Downton, Ringwood and St Ives by the end of Jan 2021, with additional classes running in St Ives and Ringwood (fortnightly). We will continue to monitor the situation and guidance.

As you know, keeping yourself fit and healthy with tai chi and qigong can help maintain and improve your wellbeing and may help to improve your immune system - but you still have to look after yourself in your 'normal' every day life too. Check out our “Stay Connected!” video libraries and zoom sessions, available now.

So stay calm, stay healthy, be helpful to those in need, and we wish you well in the coming difficult times we all face.

What next...

As you know, keeping yourself fit and healthy with tai chi and qigong can help maintain and improve your wellbeing and may help to improve your immune system - but you still have to look after yourself in your 'normal' every day life. There are plenty of videos online of hospital workers in China currently practising various health qigongs and tai chi at work, wearing their masks and protective clothing. They are using these health exercises to maintain their wellness and energy levels, as has been done in China for millennia.

We have been considering ways in which to help our students stay as healthy as possible and what we can offer if our venues or classes have to be closed or people stop attending classes. We are planning a series of very affordable pay-as-you-go internet video lessons with us, in the form of a simple click-on-link from an email to a private YouTube video of the moves you are familiar with doing with us, teaching some components in a little more detail, and running through the set, to keep continuity with your weekly and daily practice and help you maintain good health. We already teach 1:1 video lessons with people around the world, which work well and we could expand on that too. A free sample lesson of what we are planning will be available soon.

Unless you hear otherwise, our classes and workshops will be continuing as normal, just keep an eye on email communications, and also our website and Facebook pages. The situation may change quite rapidly, as we see from global news.

Stay safe and healthy and keep practising!
